Funding and Scholarships

In addition to special funding and scholarships available to all students at UBC , there are special scholarships or funding opportunities that are limited to, or available to, Midwifery students. These awards are based on the recommendation of the UBC Midwifery Program’s Awards Committee, a select committee that employs the best practices and guidelines provided by the Faculty of Medicine’s Respectful Environments, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) office.

Student Financial Assistance regarding loans, bursaries and awards are managed by the Enrolment Services’ Advisors (ESA’s) at UBC. Undergraduate students in a degree program are assigned a dedicated ESA. ESA’s help students from admission to graduation; they also meet with prospective students to assist with financial planning. You can rely on them for answers to your questions about student finances.
