Celebrating International Women’s Day 2025 at UBC Midwifery

In recognition of International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025, we celebrate the midwives, students, educators, and preceptors shaping the future of reproductive health through equity, advocacy, and compassionate care. Midwifery is a profession deeply rooted in respect and collaboration, and today, we honour the contributions of those who work tirelessly to transform health for individuals, families, and communities.

This year, we are proud to see one of our 4th-year students, Simrat Dial and Adjunct Professor Tanya Momtazian featured in the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s IWD 2025 recognition. Their dedication to midwifery education, clinical excellence, and person-centred care exemplifies the values of our program and the broader healthcare community.

Today and every day, we celebrate the strength, leadership, and advocacy of those advancing midwifery and equitable healthcare. Happy International Women’s Day!
